Washington, DC – Up for Growth, a cross-sector member network committed to solving the housing shortage and affordability crisis through data-driven research and evidence-based policy, today announced the hiring of its first Membership Director, Kecia Easley.

“I am thrilled to welcome Kecia Easley to Up for Growth as we work to expand our network and provide our members with data and tools they need to continue their work as advocates for pro-housing policies nationwide,” said Up for Growth CEO Mike Kingsella.

Kecia is an accomplished nonprofit professional with nearly ten years’ experience fostering relationships, forging partnerships and creating meaningful, human-centered experiences for complex member networks. Her work spans the full spectrum of strategic membership development, engagement and growth for professional associations, nonprofits, and government agencies.

Prior to joining Up for Growth, she served as the Director of Membership at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) where she designed and implemented comprehensive, end-to-end member journeys for current and prospective members. She worked collaboratively with all association focus areas to drive broader participation in ADEA advocacy efforts, community connections, real-time solutions sharing, resource use and adoption, and more. Previously, she held marketing and communications roles with the American Association for Justice, Kratos Defense and Security Solutions and the nonprofit Data Quality Campaign.

“I am excited by the opportunity to work with a deeply diverse, nationwide network of advocates committed to finding smart solutions to the housing crisis,” she said. “I look forward to engaging and supporting Up for Growth members as we work together to build pathways to more affordable housing, and stronger, more equitable communities.”

Kecia earned her M.A. in Media and Communication Studies from Florida State University and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi
