WASHINGTON, DC – Up for Growth Action, a federal advocacy organization that advocates for policies to achieve housing equity, eliminate systemic barriers, and create more homes, today announced the hiring of its first Legislative Director, Barbara Ehimika.

“We are thrilled to have Barbara join our team at a critical time as lawmakers consider numerous legislative solutions designed to confront the U.S. housing crisis,” said Up for Growth Action Chief Executive Officer Mike Kingsella. “Up for Growth Action will benefit from her knowledge and experience advocating for high-stakes federal policies.”

Barbara has over a decade of experience in issue advocacy, policy development, campaign strategy, and policy communications. “I am honored to be joining an organization and team dedicated to smart policies that advance the causes of housing affordability, accessibility, and equity on a national scale,” she said. “I look forward to collaborating with policymakers and Up for Growth’s member network toward solutions that will help create housing for stronger and more vibrant communities across the country.”
