June 2025: UFGA Legislative Update

Written by Francisco Flores-Pourrat

Reading time: 5 minutes

In D.C., we have been coordinating with national and grassroots groups to include supply-focused policy in an upcoming Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee markup. The principal focus of the markup is Chairman Tim Scott’s ROAD to Housing Act, so our hope is to expand that bill’s impact on supply. If you’re reading this in a state represented by a Republican on the Banking Committee, we’d appreciate your support. Please reach out to Francisco at fflorespourrat@upforgrowth.org to learn more about how you can get involved.

The YIMBY Caucus, co-managed by UFGA, held its latest briefing on June 10th, and it was live-streamed here. The session focused on the impacts of increasing housing supply and debunked common myths about building more homes. If your Representative is not yet a member of the caucus and you’d like them to join, let us know—we’d be happy to help make the connection.
