Congratulations to the Winners
This morning, Vice President Kamala Harris and HUD Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman awarded grant funding from the Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO-Housing) program to 21 communities. The PRO-Housing program offers a total of $85 Million in grant funding to communities actively addressing unnecessary local barriers to housing production and demonstrating measurable progress. This initiative seeks to build off their success and support their goals to eliminate hurdles hindering affordable housing production and preservation, ultimately reducing housing costs.
Up for Growth Action led the advocacy for funding to create the Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing Grant program and secured the initial appropriation of $85 million in the FY 2023 budget, with another $100 million to be appropriated this year.
